Owen stakes Verizon Heritage claim
Saturday, April 17th, 2010
Greg Owen (25/1 In Play), Jim Furyk (4/1f) and Charles Howell III (9/1) are tied at the top of the leaderboard at the halfway stage of the Verizon Heritage.
England’s Owen carded a second round of 69 at Hilton Head to move seven under par following an opening round of 66, with Furyk going round in 68 and Howell a shot better.
KJ Choi was unable to stay with the pace after leading following a first round of 64, with the Korean carding a disappointing 74 to move on to 138 after two rounds.
Paul Casey appears to have put his failure to make the cut at the Masters behind him after coming in six under par to move to within five shots of the lead.
But it is Owen, Furyk and Howell III who lead the way at the midpoint in South Carolina.
