Vijay Singh is a regular contender at the Johnnie Walker Classic golf tournament. He says, “In the past I have played in the Johnnie Walker Super Tour, but I particularly enjoy playing in the Johnnie Walker Classic as it always boasts a top field of international players.”

Vijay Singh’s major championship wins include the US PGA Championship in 1998, the US Masters Golf Tournament in 2000, and the US PGA Championship for a second time in 2004. He boasts a total of 31 PGA Tour wins and 12 European Tour wins, and has also had several wins in Asian and African tournaments. In 2001, Vijay Singh was awarded Honorary Life Membership of the European Tour. In 2004, he was given the title of European Tour Golfer of the Year for the first time.

Vijay Singh has kept a position in the top 20 of the Official World Golf Rankings for more than a decade. In 2004 and 2005, he held number one position for a total of 32 weeks, after knocking Tiger Woods from this spot.

In 2005, Vijay Singh received both the Vardon Trophy and the PGA of America Player of the Year Award.

In 2006, Vijay Singh was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. He also fell within the top five on the PGA Money List for the ninth time in a row, and earned his 50th professional title by winning the Barclays Classic Golf Tournament on the US PGA Tour.
